Eraser Clay Dreidel
Dreidel, dreidel, dreidel
I made it out of eraser clay
And when it's dry and ready
Oh dreidel I can...erase stuff with!
Materials:
• Bake-able eraser clay (two colors)
• Toothpick
| |
| Step 1: Roll one block of eraser clay into ball |
| |
| |
| Step 2: Break toothpick in half and insert into clay (pointy-end into clay) |
| |
| Step 3: Build up clay around toothpick to cover and flatten out top of ball at base of toothpick. |
| |
| |
| Step 4: Press on table to flatten ball to create 4 sides. Use hands to shape rounded point at bottom of drediel. |
| |
| |
| Step 5: Take second color of clay and roll out very thin strips. |
| |
| |
| Step 6: Use thin strips to create the letters on the sides of the dreidel. Bake according to directions. |
| |
| |
| |
| |
Variations: You can also use regular bake-able clay and then use your dreidel to play the dreidel game. It is difficult to weight the dreidel properly by hand (mine always lands on "shin"--so I always have to "put one in")
